Jeff Scratched?

 Why did Jeff scratch?

 

  Jeff King was in first place when he scratched. On March 10 of 2024 in White Mountain, a famous musher named Jeff King had scratched. To scratch means that in some way, your disqualified. For instance, in Jeff King's case, you run out of dogs by them getting sick or getting hurt. Jeff King worked his dogs too hard. Jeff would take 20 yards at a time and as soon as it was time to go he wanted to waste no time and gave his photographers many chances to take good pictures. His lead dogs have a mother and son relationship.

Almost the end of the race!

 It is nearly the end of this exciting race and it looks like Jeff King is going to win. Jeff has been in first almost the whole time. With only a few tens of miles left, it looks as though Jeff King is going home with a gold medal(if there is one) around his neck. People are starting to gather to watch these amazing creatures and mushers finish this amazing race with one question stuck on their mind and that question is... "Who will win this years Iditarod?"
 

What's going on?

  Jeff King is a musher who is racing this year. He is originally from Denali, Alaska. Currently he is 58 years old. Right now he has all of his dogs and is in 10th place. He checked into finger Lake at 6:15 and left at 6:16 today. He was going 7.79 mph. at this rate, the reward at the finish line will be given to someone else. WHO WILL WIN?
